Surrey Dog Photographer: Elliot the Toy Poodle Puppy

June 02, 2015  •  Leave a Comment

Brace yourselves, this teeny tiny boy is blinking gorgeous! I was lucky enough to photograph his furry brothers last year so I thought I knew how small Toy Poodles were, but Elliot is probably half the size,  just check out the image of him next to the mini daffodils. What he lacks in size he certainly makes up for in personality.

I am used to photographing action shots of dogs (obviously Whippets being particularly zoomy!), however what I am not used is very fast, very tiny subjects so it was actually a really tough trying to lock focus on this pocket rocket; he barely stopped during the session. It took a lot of patience and bribery to get him to pause for a fraction of a second but we managed it - huge thanks to his Mum for helping.

By the end of the shoot, the excitement seemed to catch up with him and he settled down for some uber cute indoor shots. I love working with this quartet, they are high energy and very excitable (a world away from Whippets), but they are also very affectionate, inquisitive and very funny. I don't think I stopped laughing during the whole session :D
