My Whippets (probably like the majority of Whippets), don't actually get dirty very often, so I very rarely need dog shampoo. When a lovely little package in the form of Saphooni Shampoo arrived on my doorstep, I took it as a challenge to let the pooches have a bit of fun. So off we trundled to West Wittering beach where the boys were more than happy to indulge in a bit of sandy fun, Boo however looked on in complete distain at the antics (well, she is a Princess after all).
Back at home, they all had the benefit of a nice shower (they were not amused). The thing that first I noticed was how quickly it foamed up - I didn't expect such a lovely lather from a shampoo block, I thought I may have to work at it a bit. It made the whole shower process quick and painless, especially as it rinsed off easily and didn't seem to leave any residue. The end result was squeaky clean pooches smelling nice and fresh! I can't comment on whether it repels insects, but it does include peppermint oil & citronella, both of which are a natural repellent for insects including fleas.
The only thing I am left wondering is....can I use it??
